legal restraints

In order to conform with legal regulations regarding copyright laws, I must ensure that all materials used in the production of my magazine and it's advertisements are my own materials and not those that are owned by anyone other than myself. It is important that when analysing other products that fall into the same genre as my own that I refrain from stealing property that includes imagery and written articles.
In regards to information, I must not be involved in cases where people's information is taken without their permission. An example of scandals such as this would include that conducted by The News of the World last year. Seeing as I am not the type to monitor people's phone records there is no danger of committing this kind of infringement in my own endeavours, and the people I do talk to and gain information from will be credited as appropriate.
