Recent advances in technology have allowed me the tools with which to create my print brief efficiently and easily. The main technology I will use in creating my final product is Photoshop, this photo editing software is essential when it comes to the composition of my magazine as well as the editing of all of my images that will eventually be featured within it. I shall also be using this software to create my billboard advertisement and to an extent my web pages.
In order to capture the images I require I will be using a Canon Powershot G6, this is not strictly a new technology as the camera is not up to date, however it is a valuable asset to my production process, this will also work hand in hand with the Photoshop program where I shall be editing the images I take.
In order to conduct my initial target audience survey I must make use of the website Survey Monkey, this site is reliable and simple to use as it provides a convenient link between you and the people answering you survey. It's easy to collect and analyse results which is a rare commodity as opposed to the problems faced with sites like Blogger.
Blogger is a fantastic way to present work when it actually works as it's meant to. However using it on the school system is absolutely unbearable at times and can lead individuals into absolute despair at times. The filtering systems in place make it nearly impossible at times to post images and save work which is simply heartbreaking at times.
The iMacs are the prime technology that is used in every aspect of the production and research that this project entails. The Macs also provide the link to all of the technologies mentioned above in some way or another. Although the filtering systems in place on the computers do impede progress often.
